Chris Brown Defends $1,000 Meet-And-Greet, ‘These Are Memories That Will Last Forever”

He did give the fans what they wanted!

Despite Chris Brown’s recent meet-and-greet photos giving “worth every penny,” the R&B singer received backlash for charging $1,000 for the experience, causing him to defend his meet-and-greet price tag on social media.

Monday, Brown explained to fans why the experience came at such a high value.

“PSA!!! When artist (everyone) do concerts, they all have something called a VIP package,” the “She Ain’t You” singer wrote on his Instagram story. “I haven’t done meet and greets in over 7 years..I have the coolest fans on the planet. I appreciate the f**k outta them. These are memories that will last forever.”

He then criticized other artists for their meet and green approaches, illustrating that his $1,000 meet and greet was more valuable and meaningful than theirs.

“Unlike most of these lame a** artist that won’t even make eye contact with the people who made it possible to even have a career,” he continued. “I only exist because these fans saw something in me I never thought was possible.. so ima go all out for my fans !!!!”

The meet-and-greet photo ops that surfaced on the internet causing a whir were in conjunction with his “One of Them Ones” tour with Lil Baby.

Many took to Twitter to express their disapproval of Brown’s meet-and-greet price.

Despite the backlash, others felt the price was worth it, including those who experienced it.

It has been speculated that the high-valued meet-and-greet stems from Brown not getting the amount of love he desired for his deluxe album “Breezy” after going to his Instagram story following the album drop and writing, “Seems like yall only invest in the negative stories about me. Chris gets in trouble (the whole world is on it) Chris drops album,” adding six cricket emojis to indicate his fans go silent.

His latest Instagram post also proved that fans DO love him.
