Cardi B Is Not Going To Jail, Plea Deal Removed Jail Time From The Equation

Cardi B pleaded guilty on Thursday to two misdemeanor charges, admitting to her role in the bottle-throwing incident against two bartenders at a Queen’s strip club in 2018, the New York Post reported.

The Bronx rapper took a plea deal to plead guilty to third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment, causing her to dodge any time behind bars. In the courtroom, Cardi B and two others who also were involved pled guilty and agreed to stay away from the women for three years.

On top of avoiding the victims, who were sisters, Cardi B was sentenced to 15 days of community service.

Cardi B made a statement about her actions.

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions,” Cardi B said in a statement. “As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me, and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most-the music and my fans.”

The attack happened in August 2018 at the Flushing strip club Angels. Sis2Sis reported that Cardi B accused one of the bartenders (Rachel Wattley or Sarah Wattley) of sleeping

with her husband, Migos rapper Offset. The “Money” rapper admitted to striking one of the bartenders, pulling her hair and slamming her head into the bar.
