Busta Rhymes Celebrates 50th Birthday!

The rapper had the party a day before his actual birthday.

Legendary rapper Busta Rhymes appeared to be having the time of his life while celebrating his 50th birthday with some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Angie Martinez, Papoose and Spliff Star. The event took place at La Bodega Negra in New York City on May 19. Busta Rhymes’ actual birthday was on May 20.

The New York hip hop icon posted photos from his celebration on Instagram with the caption, “@therealswizzz thank you soooo much for surprising me with incredible Bday Celebration full of love, real friendships, and Family,” he wrote. “Love you and thank you for this gift King!! @noahtepperberg thank you for the realest building session ever and everything you continue to do family, @meaghansmom & @ablitz2020 Thank you both for everything you have done to contribute to this Magical moment!! Love y’all!! Everyone that pulled up I love you all and just know, WE’RE JUST GETTIN’ STARTED!!! Blessed…”

Before the birthday celebration, Busta Rhymes shared

his birthday weekend plans with WWD.

“I’m going to do a little bit of partying,” he said. “I’m going to do a little bit of relaxing, and I’m going to do a little bit of work. I love to work, because my job is not really work to me. It’s my passion, my love, my fulfillment — so going and making my music is part of me appreciating my gift and what I’ve been blessed with.”

The rapper’s birthday shenanigans kicked off at the AP House simultaneously celebrating the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak’s 50h anniversary.

Friends of the rapper took to social media to wish him a happy birthday.
