Brentt Leakes, the son of the late Gregg and NeNe Leakes, is reportedly recovering from a stroke and a heart attack.

TMZ reported

the 23-year-old man suffered a medical emergency earlier this month that landed him in the hospital. NeNe confirmed to the outlet that her baby boy has congestive heart failure. She also said her son doesn’t have any vices.

The 54-year-old reality star admitted that she and her family were frightened and “shocked” that Brentt was in dire straits at such a young age.

She expressed her thoughts and feelings in an almost  2 1/2 -minute video.

“Ok. Hey guys! How are you,” she said at the beginning of the video.

“So, obviously, I’ve gotten tons of text messages, tons of emails. Everybody’s asking and concerned about Brentt, and we thank you guys so much. This is not the way we wanted it to come out. We wanted to talk about ourselves when Brentt was in a better place.”

NeNe continued, “Here I am because I would rather the correct thing be out there rather something that’s not correct. Two weeks ago today, Brentt had congestive heart failure and a stroke.”

She further explained that doctors were “concerned” because he was “so young,” which typically meant that someone had a serious infection like HIV or was a heavy drug user. NeNe also said that doctors ran a series of tests on the 23-year-old man and to keep him in prayer.

Brentt is reportedly still having trouble speaking. He’s in rehab and hopefully will have a speedy recovery.
