Brandy Responds To Brother Ray J’s Startling Suicide Message, ‘Need You Bro’

Grammy Award-winning R&B legend Brandy recently responded to her brother Ray J’s startling suicide message saying, “need you bro.”

According to TMZ, Brandy reacted to her brother’s disturbing suicide message via Instagram on Oct. 9.

“Need you bro @rayj [prayer hands],” she wrote next to a heartfelt throwback image of herself and Ray J embracing each other.

In now-deleted Instagram videos, the “One Wish” singer expressed that he contemplated taking his own life. The series of videos reportedly showed him sitting on a ledge while zooming into the moon.

“If it wasn’t [for] my [kids], I would jump off and die tonight,” he said in the first clip. The second one showed his feet dangling off the ledge.

“SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it [right]. Now!!!????” the post’s caption said.

Ray J added that he’s been trying to “figure” things out via his IG stories.

“Trying to figure it out, maybe this life was an illusion. Maybe the next life was my real reality,” he said.

Insiders reportedly told TMZ that the 41-year-old had been drinking when he uploaded the concerning posts and that he was just “messing around.” He had not been taken to a hospital for an evaluation, but another source told

Page Six that he was “fine” and that “everything is OK.”

The source added that the “I Hit It First” singer has been “on vacation with Princess Love.” The two share a daughter, Melody Love (4) and son, Epik Ray (2).

Brandy and Ray J’s sibling relationship has been very public since they rose to fame back in the ’90s. In July, Ray showed off new ink of Brandy’s face that read, “Best Friends 4 Ever” on her cheeks and forehead.
