According to ABC News, Boosie Badazz stood
before Judge Francis Devaney in a San Diego courtroom Wednesday morning for a gun charge he obtained in early May.The same day, the judge in Department 1101 dismissed the case.
Right after the court was dismissed, Boosie was arrested by federal agents on a different legal matter, but there’s no further information regarding that legal issue.
Sis2Sis reported that the rapper was arrested on May 6 after police pulled him over for a traffic stop. They discovered he had two loaded handguns in his possession, which was prohibited since he’s a convicted felon arrested and convicted on several charges — gun possession, attempted murder and drug trafficking.
He was apprehended at 4700 Market Street in the Chollas View neighborhood. A few miles from where officers stopped him was the venue he was scheduled to perform, the Phantom Lounge.
Some outlets like The Advocate and NOLA reported that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) arrested him outside the courtroom.
The ATF aims to combat violent crimes and anything associated with them, from alcohol and tobacco diversion to firearms and arson.
So far, nothing has been confirmed.
Boozie took to his Instagram on Wednesday, announcing he was selling his Rolls Royce vehicle for $240,000, which many assumed had something to do with his legal situation. But he told
