Blogger Tasha K Defies Court Order To Remove Cardi B Content From Her Site

Blogger Tasha K has reportedly defied a federal court order to remove all content involving rapper Cardi B from her site.

Judge William M. Ray issued a permanent injunction against the YouTube personality, born Latasha Kebe, on April 4 to remove 21 defamatory videos while banning her from posting about the 29-year-old on various topics.

Billboard reported that the 40-year-old had to eliminate the footage within five days of the ruling, including statements about the “I Like It” rapper being a prostitute, having herpes, and several others.

However, Tasha K has not followed through with the judge’s order to remove the content from her site, prompting other figures to shed light on the situation.

Dennis Byron, editor-in-chief for the Hip Hop Enquirer, took to Twitter on April 14 and revealed the information regarding Tasha K and her legal obligations.

“Breaking! The Blogger Lady aka #TashaK defies Federal Court Order by failing to remove defamatory statements about @iamcardib #CardiB. Legal teams mounts a response. She is facing possible prison time and financial sanctions. This is a developing story,” he tweeted.

That evening, Byron addressed the topic on Instagram Live and explained why Tasha K had refused to take down the defamatory content about the Bronx native, per XXL.

“This is a federal judge’s order and it is very specific and it was a consenting order by mutual parties,” he said during his 30-minute IG Live session. “So…at this point, when you violate a judge’s order, there are one or two things that could happen. They could throw you in jail. They could fine you. Being thrown in jail is one thing, but then the fine is up to $50,000 and up to a year in jail. What was she (Tasha K) thinking?”

As Sis2Sis previously reported, Cardi filed a defamation lawsuit against the YouTuber in April 2019.

Earlier this year, the court ultimately sided with the rapper and awarded her more than $2.5 million in damages and another $1.3 million in legal fees.

Tasha K said she plans to appeal the decision.
