Beyoncé has been catching a lot of heat on her latest releases, but her recent collaboration with Ronald Isley from The Isley Brothers was far from disappointing.
The 81-year-old Isley announced the duet for “Make Me Say It Again, Girl” on Tuesday through his Instagram, giving snippets of the duet. While the song isn’t a completely different version of The Isley Brothers’ “Make Me Say It Again Girl (Part 1 & 2),” it is a slightly tweaked version. The original song was on the group’s first chart-topper album, “The Heat Is On.”
In 2021, Isley and his wife Kandy teased the collaboration with Variety when they were naming other vocal guests who would be included
in his upcoming album.“She’s recording her part by end of June or [the] first week [of] July,” Kandy told the outlet.
They also named Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Alicia Keys, and Drake.
The new version of the track comes after Beyoncé made her comeback with her recent album “Renaissance,” the first album since “Lemonade.” “Renaissance” reached number No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has been in that spot for weeks.
Fans reacted on Twitter after hearing the full version of the song.
