Barack And Michelle Obama Share Special Posts To Celebrate Malia’s Birthday

Happy Birthday, Malia!

Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle shared special birthday wishes to celebrate their daughter Malia’s 24th birthday.

On Independence Day, Obama shared a throwback photo on Instagram of the two, Malia, in his lap. He shared his birthday wishes writing, “Happy birthday, Malia! No matter how sophisticated, accomplished, beautiful, and gracious a young woman you’ve become—you’ll always be my baby. And I will always be here to lift you up.”

And yes- it brought tears to our eyes.

The former first lady also shared an adorable picture on Instagram of her and baby Malia dressed in pink.

Michelle wrote, Happy birthday, Malia – and Happy Fourth of July, everybody!”

She continued, “24 years ago, this day became extra special when your wonderful spirit arrived in this world. I’m so proud of the beautiful, caring, and driven young woman you’ve become.”

To top off the birthday wishes, Michelle wrote, “I love you so, so much! Love, your Mommy.”

Malia graduated from Harvard University in May 2021. She has since made her home in Los Angeles and is a screenwriter.

She has been an intern on the TV series Girls and now works as a writer in a series by Donald Glover.

In March, Glover spoke about her work ethic.

“She’s just like an amazingly talented person,” Glover said. “She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard.”

“I feel like she’s just somebody who’s gonna have really good things coming soon. Her writing style is really great,” he added.

Happy Birthday, Malia! We’re looking forward to watching her screenwriting talents continue to grow!
