Ashanti Flaunts Beach Body During Recent Tropical Getaway

She showed off her amazing figure in a string of Instagram photos.

Grammy and NAACP Image Award-winning singer and songwriter Ashanti flaunted her beach body during her recent island getaway.

Ashanti, whose full name is Ashanti Douglas, posted pics showing off her fabulous figure while on vacation in a series of Instagram posts.

“Island [hopping],” she wrote in the first photo’s caption on Apr. 28.

“Fly straight to the tropics yeahhhh,” her second photo’s caption said.

The 41-year-old beauty simply put a palm tree emoji under her third photograph, which she uploaded the following day.

Then, she posted a video clip of herself in a bikini serving body singing to her and prominent Brooklyn rapper Fabolous’ 2016 song, “Ashanti (Remix)”. The single appeared on his modern classic mixtape, released the same year, titled Summertime Shootout 2: The Level Up.

“In the middle of the ocean…My bro @myfabolouslife said, ‘You should [just] do R&B like Ashanti,'” she wrote beneath the video.

Douglas’ lavish vacation photos came just a few weeks after she received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Apr. 7. She was presented the award by NAACP Image Award-winning actress Tichina Arnold and her good friend, rapper, Ja Rule, in a public ceremony at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard.

The event was exclusively live-streamed on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame’s official website that day.

“I am so humbled and honored to receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” she reportedly told EBONY on Apr. 8. “I still cannot believe there is a star right now on Hollywood Boulevard that has my name on it forever and ever.”

She also took to her Instagram account to post a beautiful photo of herself sitting in front of her star on Apr. 9.

“Wow… I’m just so grateful for this incredibly honorable and [historical] moment. Humbled. Thank you so very much,” the N.Y. native wrote.

Douglas received the star during the same week her multiplatinum debut album was released in 2002. The album spawned numerous hits, including “Foolish,” “Leaving (Always On Time),” and “Happy.”
