Al Roker Discharged From Hospital After Being Hospitalized TWICE Due To Blood Clots

Today show weathercaster Al Roker announced via Instagram that he was discharged from the hospital on Dec. 9 after being hospitalized twice in the same week.

“Home! So incredibly grateful to family, friends, medical folks, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers,” he wrote in the post.

The post included a photo of Roker, him and his wife, Deborah Roberts, 62, and a picture of the two with their 24-year-old daughter, Leila.

Roberts posted the same family photo, writing, “Home. Where the heart lives.”

In the middle of November, Roker was taken into the hospital for a blood clot found in his leg, which sent some into his lungs. The anchor was discharged and made it home to enjoy his family at Thanksgiving dinner. While he wasn’t at the Thanksgiving Macy’s Day parade co-hosting, he got to enjoy it from the comfort of his home.

The day after Thanksgiving, Roker was rushed back to the hospital. While admitted, Roker posted a photo of the city from a window, writing he hoped to be coming home soon.

“Hopefully, coming home soon, but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and recharge,” Roker wrote. “God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family.”

Actress Octavia Spencer, Today anchor Savannah Guthrie and Meteorologist Stephanie Abrams showed their love and support for Roker in the comment section of Roker’s posts.
