911-Operator Rudely Corrected Akon After His Range Rover Was Stolen

What a b***h.

On Monday night, May 24, singer and artist Akon had his Range Rover stolen from a Buckhead, Atlanta gas station while he was pumping gas. The rapper called 911 for help and was treated rudely by the operator, who corrected him in saying the incident “wasn’t a carjacking.”

In a recording obtained

by TMZ, Akon is heard explaining the situation to the operator after having seemingly called several times.

“How are you doing? I was just carjacked at the gas station for my Range Rover,” said Akon to start the call.

Akon then gave the address that his car was tracking to, then told the operator that the robber ended up at a nearby Neiman Marcus department store.

“Neiman Marcus is not a street in the city of Atlanta,” corrected the 911 operator. Akon then explained that was the location to where the car was parked, which he found with his GPS tracker.

“What gas station are you at, and have you made a police report?” insisted the operator. “Yeah, the police are on their way, but they’ve been on their way for a whole hour.”

The operator went on to ask details about the crime, to which Akon described, “It wasn’t at gunpoint. I was literally getting gas, and they just jumped in the car and–,” he said before getting cut off.

“That’s not a car-jacking… someone stole your car.”

Sis was not giving the man a break!

Akon reluctantly agreed with her and dropped it by saying, “yes, ma’am” throughout the call until finally, he notified her that a squad car had arrived before hanging up.
