19-Year-Old Storm Reid Celebrates Building Brand New Home With Mom

"I'm so grateful," she said on Instagram.

NAACP Image Award-winning actress Storm Reid recently celebrated building a new home with her mom, Robyn Reid, at age 19.

Storm announced

that she closed on a house with Robyn via Instagram on Aug. 31. In the post, she’s seen smiling with a set of keys in her hands while standing next to her mom.

“Had visions of my mom sayin’, ‘Wait, this house mine?’ Yep. Sho isssssssssss,” she wrote in the caption. “We closed on our house today!!! I can’t quite process or express how I’m feeling, but I’m so grateful. Days like today remind me that what is meant for you won’t miss you. Hard work pays off. My efforts will not be in vain.”

She continued, writing “I love you” to Robyn.

“I love you forever and ever, mommy. We done built a house, lmao. Crazy. Thank you, @milliondollarliving, for helping us through this process and being there every step of the way. GOD DID IT! [heart, covering mouth, watery eyes, dancing and mind-blown emojis]. #19andbuiltahouse.”

Two days later, Storm made another post promoting the new action thriller One Way, in which she plays a character named Rachel. The film officially dropped on Sept. 2.

“So thankful to work with this amazing team on this project [heart and bus emojis]. One Way out NOW!” she wrote.

In addition to her acting career and her modeling contract with iconic beauty brand Maybelline, the Atlanta native has also been having a blast at college. The young actress currently attends the University of Southern California.

“It’s so much fun,” she said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Aug. 24. “It’s such a blessing to be able to do these cool things and pursue my passions and my dreams, but it was really important to me to feel like a regular teenager. I do feel like a regular teenager, but obviously, I’m not deemed as a regular teenager, so to be able to go to school, cultivate relationships, of course, further my knowledge, it’s just a blessing. I’m having the best time.”
